Nurse Committee

A new committee was formed in the Spring of 2007 between LISD Health Services and LISD Child Nutrition operated by ARAMARK.

The purpose of the committee was to help both departments understand what role they play in making LISD students healthy everyday.

The committee is formed up of several people. The committee includes:

FAQs on Child Nutrition Department

My child has special dietary needs . Can he/she eat at school?
Yes, the child nutrition department is committed to making sure each child has an opportunity to eat at school. It is imperative the child nutrition department and school nurse have a copy of the child’s allergies. The Student Allergy Form can help the school nurse identify specific allergies.

Does LISD continue to fry foods in the cafeteria?
LISD Child Nutrition Department eliminated all fryers in all schools in the 2006-2007 school year. The TDA requirement is in the school year 2009—2010.

What are the rules and regulations for school food service?

How do I order snacks for the clinic for my campus?
Please fill out the Nurse Order Guide and return to Child Nutrition Office.
