Lubbock ISD employs a well-trained staff of parent educators and counselors who are committed to strengthening family relationships through the parenting programs they present in the Lubbock community.  These parent educators, many of whom have been with the program since its 1992 inception, have all received training in the facilitation of programs such as Practical Parent Education, Parenting With Love & Logic, and Developing Capable People.  In addition, they participate in various training opportunities that are offered for parent educators throughout the year.  Our parent educators represent the racial makeup of our community.  Several of them offer their classes in both Spanish and English.  It is the goal of our staff to continue to improve our presentation skills as well as the curriculum and resources we offer to the parents of our community.
