Practical Parent Education

Parenting classes are offered to all LISD campuses.  Trained Practical Parent educators work with the schools to provide parent education opportunities that are appropriate for the parents served at each school.

The Practical Parent curriculum consists of over forty individual modules.  Both day and evening sessions are offered.  Childcare is available on most campuses.  Some sessions are offered in both Spanish and English.  

Some classes are conducted on-site during school hours while others take place at nearby community centers or churches.  Evening classes are offered for some schools.  A schedule of class dates, locations, and times is available on this website under "Parenting Classes."
