We welcome everyone back to Harwell for the 2008-2009 school year!!  We are a “RECOGNIZED” school!!!  We are so proud of your children for doing so well in school: And I am very proud of the staff for their efforts and hard work to help your children succeed.

 I hope that all of you had a great summer and that you are ready for us to teach your children—I know that 3 months is a long time to be out of school and the students are probably bored and ready to come back to their school routines.

 Our staff is ready and they are very excited to have your children in their classrooms.  The staff had spent many hours training and getting ready for your children.

 It is very exciting to be rated “RECOGNIZED” by the state of Texas!  We are all very happy and proud of our accomplishments.  We will continue to improve our instruction and continue to insure that your children get the best education possible so that they can succeed in their future.

 This year our goal is to become “Exemplary”.  We are going to need your help.  We need for you to make sure your children are at school every day and that they get to school on time.  Also, you need to makes sure that your children do their homework and that they respect the students and teachers at school.  It is very important that you do your part in helping your child succeed at school—we cannot do it all by ourselves.

 Again, I ask that you come to the school and volunteer; we need help in the workroom, in the classrooms, and to take care of the safety of our students and staff.  You know that the state requires for all volunteers to go through a criminal background check—for safety reasons: You can apply for the background check online and you can use the school computer if you need a computer to do so.  If you are planning on helping with fieldtrips, you will need to get a background check.

 We are going to have a great year!  Thank you again for sending your children to us. We will do our best to make sure they are safe and successful.

¡¡Les damos la bienvenida a Harwell a todos para el ciclo escolar 2008-2009!!  ¡¡¡Somos una escuela “RECONOCIDA”!!!  Estamos muy orgullosos de sus niños por sus esfuerzos en la escuela: Y estoy muy orgulloso por el personal por sus esfuerzos y por trabajar arduamente para ayudar a sus niños tener éxito.

 Espero que todos hayan tenido un buen verano y que se hayan divertido mucho y que estén listos para empezar a ensenar a sus niños: Yo se que 3 meses es mucho tiempo de ausencia de la escuela y los alumnos están aburridos y listos para regresar a sus rutinas escolares.

 Nuestro personal esta listo y muy emocionado por tener a sus niños en sus aulas.  El personal ha trabajado muchas horas en capacitándose y alistando las aulas para sus niños.

 ¡Es muy emocionante que nuestra escuela sea clasificada “RECONOCIDA” por el estado de Texas!  Estamos muy contentos y orgullosos por nuestros logros.  Seguiremos mejorando nuestro enseñanza y continuaremos asegurar que sus niños reciban la mejor educación posible para que ellos tengan éxito en sus futuros.

 Nuestra meta este año es de sacarnos la clasificación “Ejemplar”.  Vamos a necesitar su ayuda.  Vamos a necesitar que sus niños estén en la escuela diariamente y que lleguen a tiempo.  También, necesitan de asegurar que sus niños hagan su tarea y que respeten a los alumnos y los maestros en la escuela.  Es muy importante que ustedes hagan lo que les pertenece en ayudar a sus niños tener éxito en la escuela. 

 Nuevamente, Les pido que vengan a la escuela y se dispongan como voluntarios; nosotros necesitamos ayuda en el taller de trabajo de las maestras, en las aulas, y en mantener la seguridad de los alumnos y el personal en la escuela.  Están enterados sobre el requisito estatal que exige a todos los voluntarios en las escuelas que le les haga una investigación de antecedentes criminales—por razones de seguridad.  Puede llenar su solicitud en el Internet y lo puede hacer en la escuela si no tiene acceso a una computadora.  Si ustedes tienen las intenciones de ayudar en excursiones, necesitan de llenar la solicitud.

 ¡Va ser un gran año escolar!  Gracias por mandarnos a sus niños nuevamente.  Vamos a ser lo mejor posible por que estén seguros y que tengan éxito.
