FINE ARTS - BAND
Students in grades 6th-8th grade are eligible to take band as an elective.  All bands perform at a fall and spring concert.  The advanced band and jazz band perform at special events and UIL contest.  The band director is Mr. Robbie Edwards.

FINE ARTS - CHOIR
Students in 6th-8th grades are eligible to take choir as an elective.  The Concert Choir, Opus Choir, Intermezzo Choir, and Cantare Choir all perform fall and spring concerts.  The top choirs also perform at special events and UIL contest.  The choir director is Mr. Daniel Todd.
This year, six students qualified for the All Region Choir composed of a select group of singers from the Lubbock area.

FINE ARTS - DANCE
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to take dance as an elective.  Dance students travel to the Lomax Center by bus each day and return to campus for the remainder of their classes.  The class addresses both classical and modern dance.  The dance classes involve beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels of dance.  All students participate in a spring program.  The instructor is Ms. Miranda Sharp.

FINE ARTS - GYMNASTICS
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to take gymnastics as an elective.  Gymnastics students travel to the Lomax Center by bus each day and return to campus for the remainder of their classes.  Gymnastics classes stress safety for the beginner and intermediate level students.  All students participate in a spring exhibition.  The instructor is Mr. Wallace Borchardt.

FINE ARTS - ORCHESTRA
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to participate in orchestra.  The Beginner, Intermediate, and Varsity orchestras perform fall and spring concerts.  The Varsity orchestra also performs at special events and at UIL contest.  The instructor is Mrs. Jeanette Markee.  Assistance is provided by Ms. Martha Anthis.

FINE ARTS - THEATER
Students in grades 6th-8th are eligible to enroll in theater classes.  The theater department produces three plays each year.  This year, the plays to be performed include Charlotte's Web, A Christmas Carol, and The Miracle Worker.  Any theater student may audition for a part in an upcoming play.  The director is Mrs. Ira Kelly.  Assistance is provided Mrs. Lindsey Crawford.
