It is my pleasure to serve as principal of Overton Elementary. Overton is a wonderful campus full of rich tradition. My vision for Overton is to provide our students with a supportive, nurturing, and predictable environment.

As we work make the most of every day with our students, it is essential that our staff focus on the “whole child” by addressing their academic, social and emotional needs. It is my belief that school should be a place where students desire to be each day and that our students will see the staff as loving support. School should be need-satisfying for kids.

The Overton faculty is constantly working to enhance our campus at every level. We are now a part of the Positive Behavior Support Project. This project supports our campus with a framework and a shared vision for providing students with clear expectations for learning and behavior. The project emphasizes academic engagement and achievement as well as pro-social behavior. The PBS Project assists us in helping children accept personal responsibility for their choices and works to build solid school relationships for everyone involved.

We count it as an honor and a privilege to serve the children of our community. Welcome to Overton!
