Expectations for Common Areas
Overview

Once campuses have determined the basic characteristics and traits that they believe their students must have to be successful they must then outline what those characteristics would look like throughout the building. This is accomplished by developing Expectations for Behavior. Campuses across LISD have developed common expectations for common areas within their building. Each campus has been asked to determine what the positive behaviors they wish to see in areas such as the cafeteria, hallway and restrooms. The expectations are posted in those areas in a positively stated manner. They are taught to the students in a consistent way throughout the school year. Students are positively encouraged when they are observed demonstrating those behaviors!
