Griggs
My name is Stacy Griggs and I am the Art specialist at Parsons Elementary. I am also a proud mother of two beautiful girls and I have a great husband, Dale. This will be my 7th year of teaching Art. I am looking forward to a great 2007-2008 school year with your children. This year your children will be learning about the Elements of Art through a variety of projects including painting, drawing, and sculpting.

Hays
Music classes at Parsons are always packed full of fun and learning. I will be preparing 5th graders for our annual RHYTHMANIA Production that will take place in May 2007. It will feature instruments such as Recorders, Boomwhackers, Kazoos and Percussion. Since the reconfiguration of 6th Graders to Junior High, I may begin teaching recorder playing skills in 3rd grade instead of waiting until 4th grade. There will be several other PTA Musical Performances throughout the school year featuring different grade levels and styles of music. I really LOVE my job and sharing my love of music with the children! I look forward to another great year at Parsons! See you soon!

Mrs. Holley
Hi I'm Jeanne Holley, LISD Technology Manager at Parsons Elementary. I am in my thirteenth year with LISD. I work with K-5th grade students. At Parsons Elementary we are very fortunate to be equipped with Dell computers in the Primary and Intermediate labs. I work with each grade level teach keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, multimedia and desktop publishing. We also incorporate digital photography as well as many other programs. In addition, we have Dell computer and Alpha Smarts in several classrooms that are used by students for technology integration and enhance the learning experience.

Hope all of you had a safe and restful summer. I know all of you are ready to get on the move in P.E. We have a variety of activities planned and some new stuff to show and to learn. Don’t forget how important tennis shoes are to wear during exercise and fitness. I can’t wait to hear all of the hustle and bustle of feet movin and laughter in the gym.
