Parent Teacher Association

The Roscoe Wilson PTA is an active and supportive organization within the school. For the past several years, 100% of the Roscoe Wilson faculty and staff have been members, and parent members have equaled the student enrollment.

Each year, PTA volunteers support the instructional program with their time. These volunteers assist in many ways including reading to children, tutoring in small groups, copying and laminating materials in the workroom, designing small bulletin boards, supervising on field trips, answering phones in the office, and supervising classroom booths at the annual fall festival.

School supplies, T-shirts, and book fairs are also sponsored by the PTA as a service to the students and parents. These are provided at cost rather than as a fundraiser.

PTA projects have included hallway beautification. This involves the framing and permanent display of student artwork and installation of decorative tiles designed by students and staff.

The PTA has also purchased outside benches for teachers and parents to enjoy during recess and after school. Tables and chairs have been purchased for student use in the outdoor learning center which is utilized on a daily basis
