Online Courses

All summer school for advancement will be online for the summer of 2008.

Registration

Online:  April 7th through May 2nd
Late Online Registration:  May 3rd through May 5th ($25 late fee added)

Time Frame for Classes

  • 1st Summer Session:  May 30th through June 16th
  • 2nd Summer Session:  June 17th through July 3rd

 

Cost for Courses

  • LISD students ($100 per semester course);
  • Out-of-district students ($200 per semester course);
  • LISD students on free/reduced lunch ($50 per semester course)

Payments can now be made online with a credit card.  All registrations that are paid online or a check is received by May 5th -- those packets of materials will be mailed out to students in the middle of May.  Only students that have not paid by May 5th will be required to come to my office at LISD-TV to pick up and pay for materials.

Program Content:

All work will be completed via the internet.  Students will not come to school for instruction, but will work from home. All information pertaining to their course materials will be provided via email. Students will be expected to used the online textbooks that are embedded into courses.  If the course contains an embedded textbook, there will be no hard copies for checkout.

Students need access to a computer having MS Office 2000 or above with Word, Excel, Access and Power Point.

Students must provide their own access to a computer and an internet connection.  Students wishing to use a computer at the ATC may do so in the computer library during regular ATC hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.).
