The LISD School for Young Women Leaders will focus on college preparatory academics, wellness, and leadership. It will open in August 2008 as a magnet school in Lubbock ISD with an enrollment of 75 sixth and 75 seventh grade students. A grade will be added each year through twelfth grade so in 2013, the school will include grades six through twelve. This is a public/private partnership with LISD, the Foundation for the Education of Young Women in Dallas (www.feyw.org) and the school’s Advisory Council. This partnership allows for a smaller school that will foster stronger relationships between students, parents and faculty.

Students must apply for admission to the school. Applications are available at your campus starting Monday, January 14th or you can download one here. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view the application.
