The following is a list of projects that my students will be working on this year. 

Literature Discussions

Class Projects

Our largest project this year will be to host the first Alderson Academic Fair.  Similar in concept to a science fair, each student will submit an entry.  However, students will select their content area to explore.

Academic Fair

Student will create their own unique totem pole, a symbol of who they are.  The totem poles will be an extension of a novel Touching Spirit Bear which we will read in class this year.

Totem Poles

Students will be participating in literature discussions with Ms. McMinn-Inglesia’s class from Irons Middle School.  This will be a great opportunity for students to communicate with other students and make new  friends.

Student Newsletters

Students will prepare monthly newsletters to let parents know what they have been learning in all their classes.  Please ask students questions about their classes to facilitate communication about their education.
