Broadcast Journalism Television Production
Broadcast Journalist Production is a two semester course designed to give students hands-on opportunities in television production with an emphasis on journalism. The course will do a full news production several times a year based on the writing, taping, editing and production of stories from their home school and community. The course can be taken for additional credits as Television Production II and III.
Through a variety of production experiences, students will learn the power of the medium, copyright and eithics, examine issues of fairness and objectivity, develop critical thinking skills, explore current news makers, exercise creativity and gain an overall understanding of information gathering techniques.
