Engineering Computer-Aided Drafting I, II & III

This course may be taken for more than one year.

First year instruction is designed to focus on engineering and architectural drafting techniques and principles. Orthographic views and developments (Engineering) along with basic floor plans (architectural) and the use of proper dimensioning techniques will be developed using industry standard computer aided drafting (CAD) software.

Second year instruction enhances skills and knowledge in CAD software using real-world application for architectural and engineering solutions to societies growing needs.

Third year advanced instruction covers working detail drawing with proper dimensions and tolerances. It includes in-depth research and reports that confirm the use of materials and construction of the projects they develop. Standard symbols, stock shapes, and descriptions are covered and applied to fabrication and forming drawings.
