• Must have good self-discipline

• Must have good, basic computer skills.

• The ability to read carefully and to follow all written instructions.

• Proficient in using a Web browser

• Proficient in sending and receiving email.

• These assessments are strictly for the student and parent to see how the student fares in Technical Skills as well as Student Motivational Skills. 

Steps to Taking An Online Course with LISD:

1. Take the Assessment quizzes to see if you are a good candidate for an online course (link above).

2. Make sure you have all needed software and hardware requirements to take the course.

3. Consider your courses carefully.  Online courses can be time-consuming....so do not try to take too many courses at one time.

4. Register for your online course.  (Click Registration Form button and fill out and submit the form.)  The Course Schedule button will provide you with dates/times of registration times.

5. Wait for a reply back via email concerning your registration.  All specifics will be sent in an email soon after you register online. 

6. Once you receive a reply back via email, then you will be given instructions on how to pay for the course, pick up materials for the course, and how to login to the course.

7. On the start date of the class, it is the student's responsibility to login to the class, and follow the instructor's instructions.
