Business Computer Information Systems

Business Computer Information Systems (BCIS I) is a one year course which provides the student who is already computer literate the opportunity to learn business applications on the computer.  There are seven units covering five major applications:  word processing, spreadsheets, database, telecommunications, multimedia, and desktop publishing.  The student may earn one unit of high school credit.

Dell computers are used in this class.  The students have access to a microcomputer with a hard disk, a CD-ROM/CD/RW drive, one floppy disk drive, a modem, a printer, a scanner, and a mouse.  Our classroom is networked, and we will be saving all our work to our home directory and storing it on a file server that is centrally located in our building.

Core Certification - For each Office application, and MS Project, you can obtain MOS Core certification. This is your basic MOS certification and is available individually for all applications
