The farm land was purchased by LISD in 1952 and is home to many livestock and crop projects belonging to Ag students. Animal Projects include: pigs, goats, sheep, quail, pheasants, cattle, chickens and turkey. Crop projects include a large vegetable garden. These are among the most popular projects raised. Just recently the LISD has made it possible for a new swine barn to be built to take the place of the one that burned to the ground on December 30, 2001. The new barn has 30 individual pens and can house 120-150 head of pigs. It is the nicest High School swine feeding facility in the state.
