Mr. Jimmy Moore was born and raised in the small community of Morton, Texas. He attended Lubbock Christian University where he received his B.S. and M.Ed. degrees while participating in basketball. Mr. Moore served as a deputy sheriff for a year and a half; and, was also a recreation therapist at the Children’s Home of Lubbock. He then moved to Abilene, Texas to become the graduate assistant basketball coach at Abilene Christian University. Since that time, he has served as coach and teacher at Abilene High School, Coronado High School, Estacado High School, and Lubbock Christian University. Mr. Moore was the first full-time Athletic Director in the history of Lubbock Christian University before becoming an assistant principal at O. L. Slaton Junior High. Before being named the principal at Dunbar Middle School, he was serving as assistant principal at Estacado High School.

Mr. Moore has been married for eighteen years to the former Shelley Smith. He and Shelley have two children Jada (age 15) and Jalen (age 12). |

Mrs. Gale Latimer joined the Dunbar family last year (2005-06) as Assistant Principal for Instruction. Mrs. Latimer came to Dunbar from Monterey High School where she had been a counselor for the past four years.

Gionet Cooper, Assistant Principal for Discipline |

Mr. Gionet Cooper joined the Dunbar family this year ('07-'08) as Assistant Principal. Mr. Cooper came to Dunbar from Coronado High School where he coached football, basketball, and taught Social Studies. He is also a former Irons Cougar.
