ESTACADO HIGH SCHOOL

GOALS 2007-2008

Goal #1

Teambuilding-provide support and opportunity for staff members to network together to develop relationships which support collaboration.

Goal #2

Improving the delivery of instruction-staff development topics will focus on differentiating instruction to meet the needs of all students.  Specific areas of interest will include inclusion of special education students in the regular classroom and continued implementation of brain-based learning techniques.  Administrators will regularly visit classrooms and monitor and assist in these efforts.

Goal #3

Effective Data Analysis-staff members will be trained in Triand as a tool to disaggregate test data.  Teachers will be provided time to analyze each students' weak areas as means to focus instruction appropriately.  Tutoring and/or TAKS classes will be offered.  Campus goals in the areas of accountability should be set to show growth on all areas.

Goal #4

Maintaining high expectations-student expectations should be clear and precise from day one and all staff will maintain such with students on a daily basis.

Goal #5

Enriching high level thinking skills-utilize questioning techniques student learning at a deeper level.
