  COMMITMENT

There have been dramatic changes in Career and Technology Education over the

past twenty years. In our complex and increasingly technical world, high-tech skills

are required for success in most occupations. Career and Technology Education

is committed to provide students a solid foundation for higher education and

skills necessary to be successful in a entry level position. This commitment will be

achieved through the following practices:

#1.  Career and Technology Education curriculum is based on current industry standards.

#2.  All programs will offer opportunities for students to earn industry certification and/or

      state licensure.

#3.  When available, programs provide students the opportunity to earn college credit

through Tech-Prep articulation agreements or dual credit courses.

#4.  Make learning interesting and relevant with hands-on, authentic experiences and

activities, combining the application of academics with the learning of occupational

      specific skills.

#5.  Career counselors on each high school campus provide comprehensive career
guidance and planning, Counselors also assist with resumes, interviewing, and
       placement when appropriate
