The Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program (JJAEP) assists students who have been expelled from public schools, committed felonies or numerous misdemeanors, or were ordered by court to attend the program.

JJAEP provides services to all school districts within Lubbock County and its purpose is to provide education to problem students in a highly structured environment. In the program students receive personalized help and stimulation that allow them to be more successful at home, in school, and in their community.

JJAEP expertise lies in its ability to develop assessment strategies, identify needs of students, and to help them to focus on learning. The program produces students who can become productive members of society, are well disciplined, healthy of mind and body, and equipped to advance themselves mentally and physically. This process involves parents, everyone connected with the student, and those members of Lubbock community who want to make a difference in young people’s lives.
