The Lubbock Exemplary Academic Program, or LEAP, is a program run by the Lubbock Independent School District. The LEAP program attracts students from around the surrounding areas of West Texas and has been designated a Blue Ribbon School by the US Department of Education.

The LEAP program is primarily composed of two components. Those are the normal academic week and the Friday program. Lubbock High has a unique schedule since Monday-Thursday is a strict academic week and Friday, students are rewarded for their hard work by (a) special interest classes and (b) only having to come to school for half a day.
