Core subjects at Mackenzie Middle School School are divided into two groups--PreAP and Regular. For students wishing to be challenged academically, PreAP courses are the courses they will want to take. Mackenzie teachers have been trained to challenge all students and keep them successful in all endeavors!  PreAP courses are available in all Social Studies, Science, Language Arts and Mathematics subjects. Mackenzie teachers are leaders in creating challenging curriculum!

Regular classes are interesting and fun, as well. Field trips are an integral part of several of our courses, but change from year to year. Students from Mackenzie have toured several local attractions, and have attended special events as they link to course study. All students may find something to attract them at Mackenzie Middle School!

Electives at Mackenzie Middle School include Band, Orchestra, Choir, Home Economics, Technology Education, Art, Spanish, Computer and Business subjects. Students in each of these areas excel at MMS. Each classroom has computer access, with all rooms in the main building connected to the Internet. There are mini-curriculum labs in several classrooms, as well as in the Library. In addition, Mackenzie has one PowerMac Lab, one PC lab, and two curriculum lab for class use.
