The Monterey cheerleaders have a great reputation and always receive top achievement awards at camp.  This special group of girls is known throughout Lubbock and the South Plains for having great skills and always striving to be the best. They achieve this excellence through their hard work, long practices, late nights, and dedication.  Their tradition, dedication, and skills are even carried on after graduation.  Ivy Walker (02-05), Kendra Sullivan (00-03), Michael Carver and many more continued on and made the Texas Tech University cheerleading squad.  Texas Tech is known for recruiting some of the best cheerleaders and tumblers throughout Texas.  Lindsay Harris (03-05) made The University of Louisville cheerleading squad. Louisville has a great reputation for having one of the best collegiate cheerleading squads in the nation.
