I have been at Rush for the past 8 years. I love teaching kindergarten. My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten is seeing the progress that the children make after a few months in school. We are very busy in kindergarten and no two days are alike. I would like to thank all the parents here at Rush for making my job so enjoyable. I have never seen so many wonderful families. Thank you for sharing your precious children with me.

I grew up in Hurst, Texas which is in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area.  I went to college at Lubbock Christian University.  When I graduated from college I became a Rush Roadrunner.  This is my second year teaching and I love every minute of it. Other than teaching I enjoy scrapbooking, shopping, watching movies, and being with my family and friends.

Grace Simmons is married and has two married daughters.  She has one grandson, Wyatt, who is expecting a little brother or sister in early May.  She loves to read and spend time at Lake Allen Henry water skiing.  She grew up in Shallowater and is the youngest of seven children.

I was born and raised in Richardson,Texas.  I went to college at Texas Lutheran University and got my Masters at the University of Houston at Clear Lake.  I have taught 1st grade for almost 20 years.  I am married to David and he works at the Educational Service Center.  I have two children a set of twins.  Sarah and Philip are both sophomores at Frenship High School. I enjoy reading, baking, and shopping.

I am a Lubbock girl … through and through.  I was born here and went to school in LISD.  I graduated from Coronado High School and went to Lubbock Christian University on a mission to be a teacher!
I started teaching at Rush in 2003.  I hope to retire one day (in the far away future), and say, “I taught First Grade at Rush!”  I love it here!
My husband is Jeff Sammons.  He does marketing for Texas Tech in the College of Engineering.  We have one dog, Cassie,  a German Short-Haired Pointer.
I love to snow ski!  I wish I could go more often.  I recently ventured into water skiing, and loved that too!  However, my red hair and fair complexion are not very compatible with the sun, so I will probably stick with the snow because I’m hidden away in my coat!

I grew up in Littlefield Texas.  I graduated from Texas Tech  and have been teaching for five years.  This is my second year to be at Rush and I can honestly say it is the best school in Lubbock!  I am getting married on March 8, 2008 to John Van de Pol.  He owns a dairy by Amherst and I love spending my extra time there.  I have two wonderful sheltie's Molly and Caesar.  I enjoy shopping, spending time with my family and helping with the cows.
