I am an Integration Technologist with Lubbock ISD. Basically, I teach the teachers how to use their computers and integrate technology into their existing curriculum. To the left of the screen you see a navigation list of areas I am involved in, but I will answer most technology questions the best I can.

Feel free to contact me using the link on the left side of the screen.

“Technology offers additional ways to learn, and to demonstrate learning. For some children who have unique learning styles, computers can reveal hidden strengths. At the computer, children can approach learning from a variety of perspectives and follow various paths to a goal. The teacher’s role is to set up the environment and activities, matching technology use to the curriculum as well as to the children’s needs and interests. The teacher is less involved in directing the activities, and more involved in monitoring student activities, intervening as necessary to guide and pose questions that encourage thinking.”   http://www.nwrel.org/request/june01/child.html#research

SITE OF THE MOMENT: Time for Time Clock - Show the current time with analog and digital (based on your computer's time). Can also be used to teach time as the clock can be set behind or ahead the current time (must have Flash Player installed).

bonus site of the moment : Moving Forward Wiki - contains videos, slideshows, handouts, and other resources for presenters. Some videos may be stored on sites that won't go through school filters (youtube...). So plan ahead and download to your computer (from home).
