Read pp.C84-C87

Each time you read a passage whether in the book or on a Web site type notes on your NeoSmarts for future reference.

Read all of the topics beginning with: Global Warming (What it is) After each topic click on next, and it will take you to the next topic.  Click on all highlighted words and look at any of the animations they offer.

 

Go to the following link: Questions.  Print the questions and go on a scavenger hunt to find the answers.

 

Tuesday: Global Warming

 

·       Continue with Mondays lesson.

·       Read the directions to Investigating How a Greenhouse Works on pp. C88-C89.  Complete the investigation by using the Scientific Method.

 

Wednesday: Games

 

Ø     Log on to http://www.epa.gov/superfund/kids/green/page1.htm and find out what happened to the town of Greenville.

 

Thursday: Links

 

*     Visit http://www.climatehotmap.org/ and find three fingerprints and three harbingers of global warming.  Add these to your notes in the NeoSmarts.

*     Also visit http://www.pewclimate.org/global-warming-basics/kidspage.cfm.  Copy  the list showing simple things people can do to help slow global warming.  Paste it in Microsoft Word and print.
