Math					Practice counting to 10. Out goal for the year is 100---so count on!
Reading					Read to your child everyday. Ask questions about the book. make predictions about what will happen next. How could the story have ended differently.
Language Arts					Help you child write his/her name with the first letter uppercase and the rest lowercase. When that is mastered practice writing letters of the alphabet.
Science					Discuss what you see outside, what changes are taking place?
Social Studies
Writing					Did you know that hanging form monkey bars helps develop a muscle for fine motor skills?

Goals
Our goal for this six weeks will be to learn expectations while at school, learn about our friends, seeing that letters make word and number tell us how many.
Parent Information and Helping Your Child
Please be sure your child's backpack is large enough to accommodate folder, library book, and towel. Make sure your child can open and close the backpack without help. Thank you saying goodbye to your child in the cafeteria or in the hall---way to go parents!

Ask your child about what they learned every evening. Ask specific questions—what story did you read, what are you writing about, what exercises did you do in PE, what was your favorite thing you did today, etc.
