Mrs. Kim Clifton
My name is Kim Clifton and this is my 15th year in education. I'm a proud Overton Elementary alumni and am thrilled to be serving as the counselor at this incredible school! Prior to becoming the counselor 5 years ago, I had the privilege of teaching PK-2nd grade here at Overton. I am so excited to support students, parents, and teachers in any way possible. I am passionate about serving the whole child to ensure their success in all areas, including academics, as well as social and emotional well-being. I strive to provide our students with encouragement and support to make positive impactful choices, both now and in the future!
My husband and I have four grown children and two fur babies, Oliver & Penny, who also serve as Overton's very own Therapy Dogs. They love spending time with our students, providing emotional support and companionship! Our family enjoys traveling, golfing, playing board games, and watching classic movies. I'm looking forward to a wonderful school year together!!

Unfortunately, I am not able to provide the following services to your child:
Testifying in court in child-custody matters
Providing intensive long-term counseling services for your childLimits of Confidentiality
One of the most important parts of being a school counselor is being able to talk to students about personal things. Most of what students tell me can be kept confidential, but I am required to violate that confidentiality if a student tells me one of the following things:
If he or she is planning to hurt himself or herself
If he or she is planning to hurt someone else
If a child is being abused or neglected
