Miller is a PLTW Launch Campus
Third Grade will study the Science of Flight during the fall semester. In this module, students design, build, and test an experimental model glider as they learn about the forces involved in flight. In addition, students apply the engineering design process to the problem of airlifting supplies to a remote area. Read the Stability and Motion: Science of Flight Family Letter to connect learning at home.

3rd Grade Expectations
- Wednesday and Behavior Folders are sent home each Wednesday and should be returned Thursday. Wednesday Folders contain school event information and graded papers. Please be sure to remove and keep papers, unless something needs to be returned. Progress Reports and Report Cards are expected to be signed and returned on Thursday. Behavior folders need to be signed for the previous week, and returned on Thursday. All folders and homework should be returned on Thursday.
- Homework is sent home each Friday in Homework (red) folders. All homework is due the following week on Thursday. This allows students the week to complete homework around familiy activities. It is the student's responsibility to get homework before (if absence is planned) or upon return to school.
- Homework (red) Folders come home everyday. Be sure to check folders for assignments needing corrections/signature or make-up assignments. Corrections are due the following day.
