Mr. Vincent Garcia
After 21 years of working as teacher and administrator in Lubbock ISD, I am very excited to be the principal of Ed Irons Middle School. Since the school opened in 1989, Irons Middle school faculty and staff past and present have worked to carry on the traditions of excellence Mr. Ed Irons represented himself during his tenure in LISD. Today and in the future, I am looking forward to continuing that path of successful academics, fine arts and athletics. As education evolves so must our teachers in order to provide the best for all of our students. We will strive to build a positive environment where creativity and flexibility are essential, where teachers and students believe that there is a solution to a problem but furthermore, there is more than one solution to the problem.
I am looking forward to working with all students, teachers and parents at Irons. Please let me know how I can help you in any way.

Dr. Gail Smith
2021 brings new dreams and challenges to Irons Middle School. I am excited to see where the 2021-2022 school year leads us!
I will be starting my third year at Irons Middle School and my sixth year in Lubbock ISD. I have previously taught in Plainview and Levelland and worked at the district level in Frenship. I can honestly say that Lubbock ISD is the place to be and Irons Middle School is a wonderful place to call home.
