Mission Statement

                                                                                
The major objective of Maedgen Elementary School is to help each child become a secure, self-reliant, avid learner who recognizes the significance of his own life and his ability to contribute to the lives of others.
 
It is the task of Maedgen Elementary School to develop in the child the ability to cope with and affect change; to develop all communication skills and to provide opportunities for creativity and self-expression which will exhibit love and sensitivity for his fellow man; to develop skills of inquiry and critical thinking and to provide opportunities for the learner to use democratic processes in assuming responsibility for these decisions; to demonstrate that he can engage in the process of valuing and to be able to make decisions and judgments based upon value systems.
