I am in my twenty seventh year of serving as an educator, the last twenty six of which with LISD. I began the first part of my career as a middle and high school teacher and coach.  The last 19 years, I have been in administration with the last twelve of those as an elementary school principal with Overton being my fourth school to lead. I am excited to be at a school that started its storied history in 1948!!

I am married and have three grown children and I love supporting them in their various endeavors!  I am a big “camper person” and the mountains are my second home.  I believe with all my heart that quality education is the key for all students to reach their potential and feel very thankful to have the everyday experiences to work with teachers, parents, and community members to positively impact the lives of our students.

I am happily beginning my twenty fourth year in education, my first with Lubbock Independent School District. I spent my first twenty-one years as an educator in the classroom and two years in administration in Slaton, Texas. I love working alongside teachers and parents and helping students be the best they can be!

My husband Damon is also an educator in Lubbock ISD. We have three beautiful children, Taylor, 18, Grant, who is an eighth grader and Mason, 10. My goal as an assistant principal at Overton is to make my love for education, kids, teachers and parents evident in my everyday interactions. I hope to help create an environment where students flourish and become leaders in our community!
