(8th Grade Counselor)

Mrs. Meeks graduated from Wayland Baptist University in 2005 after pursuing both a Masters and Bachelors degree of Arts in Education through the tandem degree program.  She recently completed her counseling internship through the Inspire Texas Program in 2019.

Mrs. Meeks grew up all around the world as the daughter of an Army family and traveled to South Korea, Germany, and Japan.  She spent all of her middle school and high school years in Okinawa, Japan.  

She began her education career in Lubbock, Texas, as a behavior specialist from 2001-2004. Mrs. Meeks began teaching at Honey Elementary from 2005-2020, where she taught 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade, specializing in reading and writing. She has recently transitioned to Mackenzie Middle School as a school counselor.

She is happily married to her husband, Jack, and has two children.  Her daughter, Audrey, is a student and collegiate athlete at Eastern New Mexico University.  Her son, Liam, is a student at Monterey High School.  Mrs. Meeks also has a full house of fur babies, including 2 dogs and 7 cats.
