• Due to Covid-19, we have started using much more technology in Band than we maybe would have in the past. This includes multiple websites where students can record and turn in playing assignments, do small sightreading excerpts, turn in short quizzes, and more. On this page, you will find the music websites we use. 

Class Technology

  • Smart Music

    SmartMusic is what we use most frequently with 7th and 8th grade at the moment. They use this to turn in daily or weekly assignments so that we can assess their progress.

  • MusicFirst

    MusicFirst is something we are currently using in order to give students short quizzes to test their theory knowledge. This information lets us know if we need to re-cover any content areas that may have been forgotten.

  • Essential Elements Interactive

    Essential Elements Interactive is what we have been using with the 6th graders during their beginning band class. This is included with their beginner book and includes videos they can use at home in case they forget the basics- how to hold, put together, and take care of their instruments.
