Grants and Research Administration

  • The Office of Innovation pursues most major external funding projects for Lubbock ISD. This includes competitive grants from local, state, and federal entities as well as research grants through philanthropic organizations and research-based institutions. In addition, Lubbock ISD has estabslished the Lubbock Education Policy Initiative with the Center for Research in Leadership and Education in the College of Education at Texas Tech University. This Research Practice Partnership (RPP) collaboratively pursues topics that provide meaningful information to district leaders for administrative and policy decision-making. Through externally funded projects, the RPP, and other efforts, the Office of Innovation has secured millions of dollars in funding to develop and implement bold actions across the disitrict to help our students, teachers, and district leaders make progress towards our Northstar goal.

Doing Research in Lubbock ISD

  • Any party wishing to pursue research in Lubbock ISD must follow the district's research review processes. All requests must first fill out the Research Request Form. Research requests will be reviewed quarterly by the Academic Services Team (AST) for merit and utility to campus and/or district goals. Each request will be reviewed the week following the research deadline. Each submission will be provided with feedback regarding its status and justification.
