I am a Lubbock native and a graduate of Dunbar High School class of 1975. I am a proud graduate of HBCU -- Huston-Tillotson college in Austin, TX, with a degree in Business Management. I am also a licensed funeral director and embalmer with a mortuary degree from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, TX. I have been employed with Lubbock ISD for 18 years at Matthews Academy High School. I am a member and a Deacon of Rising Star Baptist Church and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. I have two children, Brandon and Stephanie. I am also Paw Paw to 3 amazing grandchildren; Serenity, Jerryiah, and Braxton. When I'm not working I love spending time with my family, traveling, cooking, all things sports and spoiling my grandkids!
