Meet the counselor

  • Tina Wiley-Williams

My name is Tina Wiley-Williams. I am excited to have the opportunity to be your school counselor at Joan Y. Ervin Elementary. I bring 15 years of classroom experience as a teacher. I have a Master's degree in Counseling from Lubbock Christian University. I find joy in being a part of this campus and having the chance to share my excitement for learning, building positive relationships, and enhancing good character traits in all children. Please know that I am your partner, as we advocate for your child. We are looking forward to a new year full of fun and learning. Let's enjoy this awesome journey that lies ahead!

How can I help?

  • Confidentiality

One of my favorite parts of being a school counselor is being able to talk to students about personal things. Most of what students tell me can be kept confidential; however, my ability to keep things confidential is limited when a student tells me one of three of the following things:

    1. He or she is planning on hurting someone
    2. He or she is planning on hurting himself or herself.
    3. Someone else is hurting a student
