Title I, Part A
Title I Part A, of the Every Student Succeds Act (ESSA) strives to strengthen every child's academic achievement by increasing educational access and parent and family involvement for all students.
All furniture, equipment, software and any item with a life expectance of 1 year or more purchased with Title I funds, regardless of cost, need to be marked/labeled as purchased with Title funds.
Schools are required to maintain a separate fixed asset list of Title purchases. An updated list should be kept in the Principal's Auditable Record box and available upon request.
All furniture, equipment and software purchased with Title I funds that is no longer useable will need to be disposed of properly. Date and reason for disposal should be noted on the inventory sheet.
