Mrs. Kiersten Lipps
This is Mrs. Lipps's fifth year teaching at Coronado High School, and her 10th as a teacher in the South Plains. A home-grown student of Lubbock ISD, she graduated from Monterey High School in 2006 and Wayland Baptist University in 2009 with a Bachelors in English Language Arts and Reading (grades 8-12). She graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington in 2018 with a Masters in Public Administration.
Her love of reading was nurtured during her time as a student at LISD and she believes that reading and writing are essential skills to success in becoming a contributing member of society and a thriving adult. It is her joy to help build these skills in students in her classroom. Here at Coronado, we utilize writer's notebooks, Achieve 3000, Balanced Literarcy, and more programs and methods to help our students become confident and capable readers and writers for life.
Additionally, Mrs. Lipps is the sponsor for UIL Oral Interpretation and co-CTL (Campus Technology Leader).
