    I am excited to have the opportunity to be your school counselor, here at Joan Y. Ervin Elementary.  I bring with me 15 years of classroom experienecs as a teacher and a Master's degree in Counseling from Lubbock Christian University.  I find joy in being a part of this campus and having the chance to share my excitement for learning, build poistive realtionships and enhancing good character traits in all children.  Please know that I am your partner, as we avacate for your child.  We are looking forward to a new year full of fun and learning.   • Confedentiality

    One of my favorite parts of being a school counselor is being able to talk to students about personal things.  Most of what students tell me can be kept confidential. However, my ability to keep things confedintial  is limited when a student tells me one of three of the following things.

    1.  He or she is planning on hurting someone

    2.  He or she is planning on hurting himself or herself.

    3.  Someone else is hurting a student
