Mission of the WildCATS Specialty Program:

Provide engaging, meaningful enrichment for all students

Support the talents and interests of all students by utilizing the Schoolwide Enrichment Model

Increase achievement and growth to meet the learning goals of individual students, the campus, and Lubbock ISD
Features of the WildCATS Specialty Program:

Gifted and Talented Pull-Out Program- led and taught by a certified GT teacher

Implementation of Renzulli’s Schoolwide Enrichment Model

Access to a web-based program for individual talent development

Personalized student enrichment opportunities with SEM during intervention and regular classes

All staff participate in 30 hour Gifted and Talented Training, resulting in GT Certification

Training for certified teachers in utilizing best practice instructional strategies, differentiation techniques and delivery, modes of implementation of product process and product, extending and enriching grade level content areas

Cluster Grouping Model used for placement of identified Gifted and Talented students in grades 3-5
-
Utilizing a Talent Pool Model for students in kindergarten through second grade where all students are considered potentially gifted

Purposeful learning opportunities in the regular classroom to develop the talents of all students
