Degrees and Certifications:

Miss Kendall Newman

Hey there! My name is Miss Newman and I have been teaching at Ramirez Elementary since 2016. I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Texas Tech University. Wreck 'em! I hold a Kodaly Certification from Portland State University.

I believe in teaching musical skills and literacy through singing. The Kodaly philosophy that I believe in incorporates folk music, solfege, and sequenced curriculum that spirals as the student grows. It is my goal that all students who come through my class will develop musical skills through a fun and participatory experience!

You can reach me at kendall.newman@lubbockisd.org!
