A native of Midland, Texas, Oscar Reyes earned a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology from Texas Tech University. He earned a Master’s Degree in education at Wayland Baptist University. He is employed with Lubbock I.S.D. as an administrator at Juvenile Justice Alternative Education Program a school for expelled students. He has also facilitated parenting, anger management, and a host of other class topics since 1991. He has served as a board member with several agencies involving youth and social committees. As a member of St. Elizabeth’s Catholic Church, he was parish council president, finance committee, youth ministry adult bible study and various other ministries. He continues to be a lector, Eucharistic minister, an officer with Knights of Columbus Council 12083 and multiple other ministers. The Texas Network of Youth Services awarded him State Youth Worker of the Year, 1993 while working with Catholic Family Services. He has presented at local, state, and national workshops and lectures on professional, youth and religious issues. His hobbies include Texas Tech sports and being a mentor for youth.
