Justin Newman

I am so honored to be the principal at Evans Middle School. Evans has such a rich tradition of success in academics, fine arts, and athletics. It is an honor to be a part of the legacy as we continue to push for even greater success in all of these areas. I look forward to working with all of the students, parents, and teachers at Evans. The future is very bright and I look forward to getting to see all of the wonderful things that your students will achieve and all of the accomplishments they will make.

My kids have grown up in this feeder pattern and I have had the privilege to be a teacher and an administrator in it for most of my career. The relationships that I have developed with families is one of the things that makes this such a wonderful job. I am excited that I get to continue to do that at Evans. Kris Ann Blodgett

I am entering my 14th year in education and excited to be joining the Evans team this year. I have been with Lubbock ISD for 11 years as a math teacher and administrator at Irons Middle School, Dunbar College Preparatory Academy, and most recently O.L. Slaton Middle School. The majority of my career has been in the Monterey Feeder Pattern, and I look forward to continuing the strong traditions and educational experiences available to all students at Evans.

I am beginning my 20th year in education, my fourth as a proud Evans Eagle. I've taught 5th - 8th grade Science for 16 years, with 11 of those years at Mackenzie Middle School. I look forward to learning and growing from the experiences the upcoming year will provide. Erin Mitchell

I have lived here in Lubbock my whole life! I graduated from Monterey and then from Texas Tech. I married my high school sweetheart and we have 5 children who are all proud LISD students!
