Shelia began working as a Transitional Specialist for Lubbock ISD at the Lubbock County Juvenile Justice Center(LCJJC) campus in the calendar year 2016-17.  As a Transitional Specialist, Shelia works directly with team members, students leaving LCJJC, parents, administrators, and any special programming to assist with a smooth transition for entry or reentry to the student's community school.  This may include reviewing course requirements and scheduling to meet the student's needs.  The transition process includes contact up to 90 days, to ensure that the student is settled and progressing academically.
