I am in my twentieth year of serving as an educator for Lubbock ISD. I began my career in education as a third grade reading teacher. Over the last eighteen years, I have taught all subjects areas at the elementary level, primarily as a fourth grade teacher. Before becoming a Miller Owl, I served as a district literacy coach, working with Kindergarten through Fifth grade teachers and providing professional development at the campus and district level. I served as the assistant principal of Miller for six years before being named principal in May 2021. I am so excited to be the principal and member of the Miller Family!
I have three wonderful children that keep my husband and I very busy! I enjoy road trips with my family, going to the movies, and curling up with a good book and a cup of coffee. I am passionate about education and am so thankful that I have been blessed with many opportunities to work alongside teachers, parents, and community members to positively impact the lives of our students.

I am so honored to be the new Assistant Principal at Miller Elementary! I have a passion for student success and am thrilled to be a part of this community of excellence!

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona Christian University, and my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Colorado.  I have teaching experience in Arizona, Colorado and Texas (with Texas being my favorite of course!).  This will be my 16th year in education and I have experience in primary and intermediate grade levels. For the last few years I have been an Instructional Coach for Lubbock ISD.

I have been married to my husband Ryan for 20 years and we are blessed with two teenage daughters. Chloe and Lila both ride horses and love volleyball!  In my spare time I love to read books, garden and watch movies with my family.
