I am so excited to be the principal at Rush Elementary.  I went to Rush from Kindergarten until 6th grade.  Then I went through the feeder pattern to Mackenzie Middle School and Coronado High School.  Rush is near and dear to my heart.

I have been in education since 1997. My Bachelor's is in Early Childhood from Texas Tech University.  I have a masters degree in Leadership Administration and in Counseling. I taught at Preston Smith Elementary for 13 years.  Then had the privilege of working in the Estacado Feeder Pattern for 9 years.  I was an instructional coach for 1 year, a counselor for 3 years, and an Assistant Principal at Ervin Elementary for 5 years.  I then went to Wheelock Elementary as the Assistant Principal for 2 years. 

My family is extremely supportive.  I have 3 wonderful boys; Hansen, Hudsen, and Maddux.

 I am honored to be serving you as the Assistant Principal. I have been in Lubbock ISD for over 5 years. I taught 6th and 7th grade Reading and Language Arts at Cavazos Middle School and 7th and 8th Grade Social Studies at O.L. Slaton Middle School. Last year, I completed the Texas Tech Principal Fellows program as a principal intern at Hardwick Elementary. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Multidisciplinary Studies and a Masters in Educational Leadership.

As a mother of two, I understand the importance of family, community and relationship building, and I strive to uphold these values as I support each one of your students at Rush Elementary.
