PreK/Head Start Registration - 2019-2020
PreK/Head Start registration for the 2019-2020 school year will begin with PreK Kickoff on April 4, 2019. PreK and/or Head Start is offered at all Lubbock ISD campuses.
Children must be 4 years old by September 1, 2019 to enroll in PreK or Head Start. A limited number of children who are 3 years old by September 1, 2019 and live in the Alderson or Ervin attendance zones will be enrolled.
The first step to enroll your child in PreK/Head Start is to complete online registration. Online registration for the 2019-2020 year will open on April 1, 2019. The next step is to bring the required documents to Kickoff at your home school on April 4. There will be two opportunities to attend Kickoff. The first session will be from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. and the second session will be from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. The documents needed to register are: birth ceritificate, immunization records, proof of address and child's social security card, if available. If you are unable to attend Kickoff, you may register at your home campus any time after April 4.
If you wish to request a transfer for your PreK age child, the transfer window of January 9-25 does not apply to PreK. If you plan to request a transfer, please enter the online registration information prior to completing the transfer request. No transfers for PreK will be considered until April 4 and there is no deadline to submit a transfer for PreK.
PreK and Head Start are qualifying programs and no enrollment is complete until you have taken the required documents to your home school and an eligibility appointment has been completed. Appointments are scheduled when you deliver the documents to the school office.
If your child does not qualify to attend at no cost, LISD does accept PreK students on a tuition basis. All students who reside outside of the Lubbock ISD attendance boundaries must pay tuition to attend.
Registration remains open for the 2018-2019 school year!! More information can be found here!
