  • Academic Decathlon Region and State Competition

    Lubbock ISD had high school teams compete in the Texas Academic Decathlon and won over $2,000 in scholarships. Academic Decathlon is a team competition where students match their intellects with students from other schools. Students are tested in ten categories: Art, economics, essay, interview, language and literature, mathematics, music, science, social science, and speech.

  • Big wins for Lubbock ISD teams at the VTC Busy Bees Special Olympics

    Lubbock ISD Special Olympics’ basketball teams headed over to Odessa College to participate in the annual Permian Basin Special Olympics Basketball Tournament on Feb. 25. The Green team ended up winning silver while the White team brought home the gold!

  • Lubbock ISD HOSA heads to State

    Members of Lubbock ISD Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) traveled to El Paso for the area competition. Several of our HOSA members became state qualifiers and one area officer. They will be traveling to Round Rock at the end of March to compete at the state level.
